We are seeking a full-time associate for our small animal practice in northern Suffolk, VA. Just as all of the other ads state, our hospital is equipped with the latest equipment, including digital radiography, in-house bloodwork, and cold therapy laser. Our goal in doing this is so we can provide the very best in quality service for our clients and patients. Our area is rapidly growing, as is our practice. We recently moved into our new 9000 square foot facility which includes separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats, 6 exam rooms, 4 treatment tables, separate surgical and dental suites, ICU, and isolation rooms. Our boarding facility is located in a separate building adjacent to the clinic. Our goal here is quality over quantity; therefore, all our appointments are scheduled for at least 30 minutes, with time allowed to thoroughly work up the cases and build relationships with the clients. In addition to salary and production bonuses, the job also offers dues for AVMA, Virginia veterinary license fees, liability insurance, health insurance, continuing education, and optional participation in a matching IRA account. We have numerous specialists available in the area for referral, as well as local emergency clinics, eliminating the need to see after-hours emergencies. The applicant must be a "people person" and have a positive outlook with good interpersonal skills, as client communication and relationship-building are the most important features of our practice.
We would be interested in any level of experience, including new graduates. Exotics/avian interest would be a plus.
Additional Salary Information: Base salary plus percentage of production, previous associate was earning ~$106,000/year
