Walker Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary medical facility, located in Walker MN. We are surrounded by beautiful lakes and the Chippewa National Forest. An experienced veterinarian is preferred; however, new and recent graduates are welcome to apply as we welcome the opportunity to mentor and provide respectful guidance in diagnostic and surgical procedures, accompanied by interpersonal communication skills with clients and other staff members. We have two certified veterinary technicians and two veterinary assistants on staff. We have an in-house laboratory and digital diagnostic and dental radiograph equipment. We also supply veterinary services to Paws and Claws Rescue and Resort located in Hackensack, MN where we advise staff with health management and disease prevention at the facility, examine shelter animals and boarded pets, and provide spay and neuter services at the facility.

Our current facility is 22 years old; we are in the early planning stages of a remodel to improve patient flow, add additional exam room(s), expand and update our operating room, dental area and treatment area. Wages and benefits are negotiable; however, the basis of compensation is a percentage of production with a minimum hourly wage guarantee. We currently refer after hours emergencies to Bemidji Veterinary Hospital; however, if it is the desire of the associate, some may be handled in-house.
