Emergency Veterinary Technician

Seeking a motivated veterinary technician for a position in our busy emergency department. The right candidate should have a minimum of 2+ year(s) of experience. Must be a self-motivated team player, and effective multi-tasker with good communication skills and the ability to treat and monitor critically ill patients. Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment is required. We offer: -AAHA accredited hospital -A large and beautiful facility with tons of space -Complete in-house state-of-the art Idexx lab equipment (including full CBC, Chemistry, Coag Profile, blood gas, Sedivue/UA) -Patient monitoring with ETCO2, pulse oximetry, ECG, BP, respiratory and temperature monitors -Ultrasound with color flow doppler -Digital Radiography with radiographic reading of every film by Board Certified Radiologists -Companion class IV laser therapy -A double surgical suite fully equipped with everything for all types of soft tissue and Orthopedic surgery -Board Certified Surgeon, Cardiologist, Radiologist, Ophthalmologist, and Dentist for onsite referral and consultation -Multiple nearby referral hospitals for Internal Medicine, Oncology, Dermatology We are looking for individuals who are proactively engaged in a high level of patient care and are interested in advancing their knowledge in veterinary medicine. Applicants should be compassionate, detailed oriented, and be able to anticipate in a busy work environment. We are looking for full time and part time personnel so please specify which you would desire. Applicants wanting full time positions will be given priority. Willingness to work nights weekends and holidays will also be given top priority. Additional Salary Information: Hourly rates are negotiable pending experience and qualification. Full time staff are offered Health insurance, 401K plan, pet care at cost, PTO, and CE compensation.
