FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic (FACE) is interviewing for a full-time veterinarian to practice in our fast-paced clinic.
FACE is dedicated to reducing needless euthanasia by addressing the root causes of shelter intake: pet overpopulation and pet surrender. Our clinic provides spay/neuter, vaccine, and minor wellness care to nearly 30,000 dogs and cats annually.

We support our veterinarians by providing flexible scheduling, regular hours, competitive pay, and a rewarding work environment. No emergency duty required.
+ Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. + Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care. + Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date. + Assist colleagues in follow up and future management of the patient. + Assist in the establishment and maintenance of procedures and protocols. + Build effective relationships through positive interaction and communication with the community, volunteers, and staff. + Attend all staff meetings and training sessions. + Advocate the humane treatment of animals and be able to transmit these values to others.
+ Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Indiana. + Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets. + Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients. + A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics. + Proficiency in surgery. + Able and willing to work in a busy and fast-paced environment. + Able and willing to work some Saturdays.

FACE is Indianapolis’ nonprofit, low-cost animal clinic. Our mission is simple: end euthanasia of cats and dogs in Indianapolis by offering accessible spay/neuter, vaccination, medical care and community cat care, without financial or geographic restrictions.
Since opening in 1999, FACE has performed more than a quarter of a million spay/neuter surgeries, which has contributed to a 90% reduction of euthanasia in our community. Every year, more than 10,000 patients count on FACE for affordable spay/neuter services and more than 17,500 visits are made to our vaccine and medical clinic.
