Companion Pet Hospital is looking for Certified Veterinary Practice Manager to run our 7 doctor, 40 employee practice and become our hospital administrator. Our hospital believes in supporting not only our clients and patients, but our team members as well. We have regular team meetings and team building activities to help our support staff and leaders grow.
Our full-time hospital administrator is eligible for the following benefits:

The hospital administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice. We require a minimum of 5 years of veterinary management experience in a multi-doctor setting. We are willing to consider relocation expenses if needed.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Human Resources/Personnel Management
Recruiting & hiring team members
Organize & run regular team & doctor meetings
Monitor and boost team morale through education, coaching, counseling
Ensure Labor Law, Safety, & OSHA compliance
Reviewing Business Tax Statements & monthly P&L
Manage Profit Sharing (with owner input)
Provide financial analysis, accounts payable & accounts receivable
Community outreach - coordinate programs, organize presence of staff support
Oversee department heads as they manage the team members
We are in the process of becoming Fear Free Certified with over 25% of our staff members having completed the training. We also use “electronic medical records” reducing the need for paper and make record keeping easier.
The ideal candidate will be think-outside-the-box and possess the following skills and attributes:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superb organizational skills & able to multitask and prioritize duties
The ability to make decisions, delegate responsibility and achieve results
Ability to calmly and effectively handle stressful situations
Understanding of veterinary terminology, equipment, treatment protocols and animal husbandry
Knowledge of Veterinary Medical Board, OSHA, and DEA regulations
