How great would it be to work as an associate veterinarian enjoying 2.5 to 3 days off a week, with techs who are not only competent but enjoyable to be around, flexible and modern-thinking owners (who don't give you a hard time when you feel the need to refer a patient out) and live near the beaches in Florida?
This really isn't a 'too good to be true' job posting, we exist and our hospital is Ark Animal Hospital in Lakeland, FL. Located close to Disney in Orlando, and beaches in Tampa and St. Pete, our little spot of paradise in Central Florida is a place that really feels like home. We opened our practice in September 2010 with the goal of creating a place that not only offers quality, compassionate care to our patients and clients but also a practice in which we look forward to coming in to work.
We currently operate with a 4 to 1 technician-doctor ratio. All staff are Fear-Free certified. We offer in-house blood work (Abaxis, Vetscan Vue) and Digital Radiographs with a state of the art Sedecal unit. We continue to upgrade our equipment and practices to stay current with the best standard of care. We will soon be a fully paperless practice utilizing Avimark practice management software, ultrasound, and an iM3 dental machine.
Ark Animal Hospital is currently a 1-doctor practice looking to add a second doctor to our staff. We are looking for a full time OR part time Associate Veterinarian to work up to 40 hours/week practicing common sense veterinary medicine. Other benefits include: Competitive Salary based on experience, CE compensation, Dues/Insurance/License reimbursement, and Vacations. Other benefits are negotiable as well if you are looking for something specific! We are open to negotiating relocation costs for the right candidate. Any applicant with one year or more experience with a license in good standing will be considered.
