Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley is seeking a veterinarian/Medical Director to manage our Veterinary Clinic. Our emphasis is on HVHQ spay & neuter and general wellness for companion animals. Our team currently has 1 veterinarian, 4 RVT’s and 7 veterinary assistants. Excellent communication, organization and technical skills are required. We are a private non profit, not a shelter! The veterinary manager will have responsibility for animals in the clinic assuring that their care and treatment are of the highest quality and consistent with the policies of the Humane Society of San Bernardino, and with the highest standards of current veterinary practice. The veterinary manager will be responsible for the following:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent License in good standing with state of California License with Drug Enforcement Agency ( DEA) Proven ability to perform all the duties and functions of an Associate Veterinarian Proven ability to perform HVHQ surgical procedures on all sizes of dogs and cats Ability to see up to 20 or more patient exams per day while maintaining HSSBV standard of care. Have a basic knowledge of animal diseases and conditions including domestic animals, exotic animals and wildlife. No felony convictions or convictions of driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Ability to work when and where needed, including field disasters or emergency response for extended periods of time. Prioritizes and manages time efficiently Balances multiple demands and competing priorities. Stays focused on work activities and works through distractions. Directs the staff’s activities by delegating responsibility and conveying clear expectations to the appropriate staff. |
