MSPCA in Centerville is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to shape and lead a progressive team serving both shelter pets and owned animals in need. The clinic is a beautiful, new, state–of-the art surgical suite situated inside our brand new adoption center on Cape Cod in Centerville, MA.
The ideal candidate will have experience with high volume, high quality spay/neuter techniques (humane alliance model) and experience in dental surgery. The desire to oversee and guide a group of experienced, compassionate technicians and volunteer veterinarians, is a must for our applicants.
The position offers a Monday – Friday schedule with occasional weekend hours for special events.
Our Centerville clinic was just completed in the spring of 2018 and is equipped with a new digital x-ray system and a full dental suite. The position also offers access to a full network of experts to learn from and collaborate with through the renowned emergency and specialty hospital in Boston, the Angell Animal Medical Center. The Angell Animal Medical Center (AAMC) a world renown non-profit organization. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Angell is owned by the private, nonprofit, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The AAMC is a full service 24-hour facility that employs over 300 people and cares for approximately 90,000 cases annually. We serve Boston and the greater New England area as a primary care facility, a 24- hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center. The veterinary staff is composed of 55 senior staff, 17 interns, and 13 residents.
We offer specialty services in dentistry, pain medicine, acupuncture, surgery and anesthesia, avian and exotic medicine, animal behavior, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, Ultrasound), emergency and critical care medicine, general medicine, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, nutrition, medical and radiation oncology, and ophthalmology and pathology.
