Alton Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time associate veterinarian who values practicing high quality, small animal medicine and who would love to work in a beautiful small-town New England setting, with friendly clients. Experienced, independent applicants with confidence in their diagnostic and surgical skills preferred, but willing to mentor new graduate if it is a good fit. 4 to 4 1/2 day work week, with alternating 3 day weekends off (only open Saturdays from 8-12)

Duties include seeing scheduled, as well as some emergency, appointments within normal hours, performing surgery and dentistry to applicant's comfort level, keeping complete medical records, keeping up with client communication, interpreting lab results (we often collaborate on difficult cases), and developing and instituting treatment plans for patients. Must be able to work Saturdays and potentially an evening or two until 8 pm. Evenings may be negotiable.
