Animal Haven Veterinary Center (“AHVC”) is a privately owned, well established small animal practice located in Bear, Delaware and a newly established small animal practice in Oxford, Pennsylvania. We also see exotic pets on a limited basis based on veterinarian comfort/interest level. We understand that our clients’ pets are an important part of their life. Our highly trained staff treats our clients and their pets with professionalism and courtesy, while providing their pet with the best veterinary care available. We approach each case with common sense and we treat our patients like we would like our own to be treated. Our full-service practice offers a variety of services intended to promote their pet’s overall health and longevity. AHVC has been a well respected and valuable member of the community for over 20 years.
Company History
Animal Haven was started in 2001 as a mobile practice. For the first four years of operation, Animal Haven operated a full service small animal practice in a twenty-six foot La Boit specialty vehicle. In 2005, Animal Haven moved into a leased space in northern Delaware while still providing mobile service. In 2019 Animal Haven donated the specialty vehicle to a local animal shelter. In addition, in 2020 purchased property, in Eastern Pennsylvania (45 minutes from our Delaware location) and will open a second small animal veterinary clinic and emergency care facility in the early part of 2021.
